1. Massage:
Massage is a good cure for stiff neck. You can use essential oils, like pine, rosemary, lavender or juniper for massaging as it will provide

the necessary warmth to the neck muscles along with increasing the blood circulation. A gentle massage greatly helps in relaxing the muscles

while reducing the stiffness.

2. Heating Pad:
Place a heating pad over your sore neck. It is a useful remedy which will increase the blood flow while decreasing the stiffness of the neck.

3. Ice Packs:
Crush some ice and wrap it in a poly bag. Now, cover the stiff part of neck with a small cloth or towel, then place the wrapped ice over it.

Ice is really useful for stiff neck pain relief. It also reduces the inflammation caused due to the soreness.

4. Over-the-counter Medicines:
To relieve the pain caused due to a stiff neck, you can also use over-the-counter medication, such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen. However,

avoid aspirin for kids, who are less than the age of 18, as aspirin causes Reye’s syndrome, which results in swelling in the brain.

5. Epsom Salt:
Soak Epsom salt in your bath water and take a bath with it. This salt contains magnesium and sulphate, which regulates the activity of

various enzymes in the body. This remedy helps in increasing the blood circulation, reducing the muscle tension and stress.
6. Hot Water Shower:
Keep your neck under a shower of warm to little hot water for about 4-5 minutes. Don’t turn or move your neck while doing this. This is one

of the best cures for stiff neck muscles.

7. Apply Balm:
A number of balms, like analgesic and rubefacient are available in the market to get rid of the pain, caused due to a stiff neck. But,

before picking any of them, keep your symptoms in mind.

You can also use a pain relieving gel, called ‘Biofreeze’, which is available in the market. It is best suited for muscles spasms and stiff

neck and shoulders. Biofreeze is a non-oily odourless gel that works quite well on sore muscles. The main ingredient used to make it is a

South American holly shrub, called ‘Ilex’

8. Apple Cider Vinegar:
Soak a paper napkin in some apple cider vinegar and place it on your neck. Leave it for few hours. Apple cider vinegar is an excellent remedy

for stiff neck muscles as it gives great relief in just one application.

9. Exercise:
Exercising helps a lot. Gently move your neck in a circular motion. You can also move your neck in back and forth position. Side to side

movement is also good. You can also try moving your neck in a pattern of digit-8. But, make sure it doesn’t pain. If it pains, don’t do

these exercises.

10. Skin Scrapping:
This method needs assistance of another person. You will require massage oil and a spoon. Spread few drops of massage oil on the area and

gently scrape the skin of your neck with a spoon. Make sure, it doesn’t cause more pain in the muscles. Skin scrapping is a great stiff neck

treatment, which improves the blood circulation while decreasing the stiffness of the neck.

11. Acupuncture:
Try acupuncture exercise. It helps a lot in giving relief from neck soreness.

12. Magnesium Tablets:
Take 1 magnesium tablet on the daily basis to boost up your immunity. It will also help in alleviating stiff neck.

13. Celery Leaves:
Blend celery leaves and extract its juice. Drink it daily to get relief from pain, caused due to a stiff neck.

14. Horse Radish (Sahijan):
In order to relieve stiffness of the neck, apply fresh horse radish. Leave it for a few minutes; otherwise, it may lead to burning or

numbness.

Gainesville Massage How to Get Rid of Neck Pain

Call 770-990-0536 for quick relief of neck pain. You can watch this video again at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0F9k05L7-w. If you suffer from Neck Pain or a Stiff Neck, it’s usually caused by a sprain or strain to the muscles located at the back and sides of your neck.
These muscles connect your shoulder to your third and fourth cervical nerves and the symptoms may be from an injury in which case you’ll want to see your family doctor.
Your neck pain may also be from other causes;
Sitting behind a computer for several hours can also cause a stiff neck and if you don’t get relief, you may start feeling a throbbing headache that causes you to lose your concentration.

Another cause of a stiff neck is that you slept on your pillow the wrong way and you feel a tightness that’s uncomfortable.

The third cause of Neck Pain may be due to stress or anxiety in your life.

Whatever the cause of your pain, if you wait too long to get relief, you’ll begin to lose sleep, and you’ll feel tired during the day.

But rather than grabbing a bottle of painkillers that provide only temporary relief, consider this natural, four step process to get away from the pain and the anxiety that comes with a stiff neck.

These four steps will get you back to the joy of life faster and naturally.

In Step 1 your massage therapist begins warming up the areas surrounding your neck to increase blood flow and to make it easier to manipulate and your muscles.
The purpose here is to stretch the muscles in your neck and upper back.
Step 2 is to relieve the tension in the muscles that connect your neck with your upper back.
Step 3 is to continue with Full Body Therapy for overall tension release.
Step 4, is after your massage therapy and is just as important for your overall tension release.
Soak a towel with a mixture of hot water and Epson Salts and keep it on your neck for at least 20 minutes. Remember to drink at least two 16 ounces glass of water after a massage to help your body flush out the toxins released by your massage.
Once you’ve done this, you’ll feel the relief that allows you to enjoy life again

How to Get Rid of a Stiff Neck Fast!

How to Get Rid of a Stiff Neck Fast!

A stiff neck is a common problem. It often occurs due to sleeping in an awkward position, sitting in front of a computer for a prolonged period, or straining a muscle due to bad posture or carrying heavy loads that put too much pressure on the shoulders.

Other causes include anxiety and stress that create tension in the neck muscles, trauma or injury that affects the neck, and some diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, meningitis or cancer.

The main symptoms are soreness, pain and difficulty moving the neck, especially when trying to turn the head to the side. At times, a stiff neck may cause a headache, shoulder pain or arm pain.

A stiff neck does not usually indicate a serious medical problem, but it can hinder your daily activities and make it hard to sleep. Lack of sleep can make things worse.

This problem usually gets better after a few days or a week. However, you can use some simple lifestyle changes and home remedies to ease the pain and stiffness. If your condition does not get better within a week or if it occurs with a high fever, consult your doctor immediately.

How to naturally get rid of tight muscles in your neck, back and legs

SIGN UP to my free newsletter to get instant access to those exercises: http://eepurl.com/UYVH5

In this video I explain why so many people suffer from tight muscles such as in the neck, back or legs, and most importantly what you can do to help those muscles ‘relax’.

It’s important to remember that muscles become ‘tight’ for a reason, and you should focus on that root cause.

So what could be the root cause?

Well it’s important to remember that your body has a certain posture and that that posture is held together by muscles. Nowadays because we sit for such long periods our muscles tend to go out of balance. When this happens our posture moves out of position. This causes certain muscles to compensate for other muscles and the result is they are now ‘taut’ or switched on, rather than ‘tight’.

Over time this can lead to excess wear and tear and strain and thus pain.

Many therapies only bring you temporary pain relief as they target the symptoms or condition you have. Posture Correction Therapy on the other hand, focuses on the underlying root cause, which very often is incorrect posture.

By using gentle but targeted Posture Correction Exercises you can over time improve your posture and thus get your body working the way it was designed to. The aim is to not only end your current pain, but also to reduce your risk of future pain and injuries.
